As you know, the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation has created a program for members of the birthmark community to step up in a variety of ways. From spreading awareness in their communities and disseminating information on social media, to holding charity and fundraising events – VBF Global Ambassadors go above and beyond to help families affected by vascular birthmarks.
Over the past two months, we have increased the number of Ambassadors to 129, with 340 members in our Facebook group! We currently have Global Ambassadors in 22 countries and 40 states and are actively recruiting Ambassadors all over the world to promote awareness for vascular birthmarks.
Month of Awareness!
Month of awareness was amazing for VBF, and the Global Ambassadors were a huge reason why we had our most successful year to date! So many of you participated in awareness events, fundraising and so much more this month as you ‘rocked your birthmark’ loud and proud. Overall, VBF was able to reach over 100,000 people on social media which is more than ever for a single month! This feat couldn’t have been accomplished without your dedication. With over 40 new members in our Facebook group this month, we hope for most of you to take that next step of registering online to become official members of the program!
Take the Awareness Challenge!
Every month, we challenge our Ambassadors to share VBF news, initiate fundraising events and spread awareness in a variety of days.
This month, we challenge you to share your story with a Give2myVBF personal fundraising page. You can personalize a page with your story, and share your special link with your family and friends to ask them to support your annual awareness campaign all year long.
Funds generated from your page can help others receive help at a VBF conference, support research, help our VBF iTEAM, or go towards general support.
In June, Dr. Linda will be in Athens, Greece with the VBF iTEAM holding a conference on June 7-8 at the Royal Olympic Hotel. There will be social media posts related to the conference, so share them in your networks. On the horizon in July will be the 9thannual Frank Catalanotto Foundation Golf Classic! Proceeds will benefit the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation,
Free Birthmark Education for Global Ambassadors!
The Vascular Birthmarks Foundation is constantly looking for ways to empower our Ambassadors, and grow the program to increase our outreach of support.
The VBF Educate Online Course modules is now available to registered Global Ambassadors – all you need to do is check your email, as I have sent the access code! The Physician E-Learning Center provides a platform for doctors all over the world to earn CME medical credits, and this module is now available to Global Ambassadors for free! Visit https://vbfeducate.org/ to sign up and learn more!
The VBF Library has been made available to Global Ambassadors for free as well, and we really would like for you to register! The VBF Library includes the latest scholarly articles in the field of vascular birthmarks for over 70 birthmark-related keywords. Visit https://birthmark.org/physician-education/vbf-library/!
In addition to the VBF Educate module and VBF Library, we have finished a training module for Global Ambassadors to complete upon registration. This training will not only give a baseline of information and resources about vascular birthmarks, but will also reiterate the Global Ambassador mission. Remember, none of us are medical professionals, but we are champions of helping others get the information they need!
To our current Global Ambassadors – please monitor your email for links and codes to register for VBF Educate and the VBF Library. To everyone else – We look forward to helping you, and would love for you to register and help us spread awareness!
Thank you all, for all that you do for our community.
